The Associate helps develop and execute the organization’s marketing strategy and related campaigns and manages the website and other social channels. Working with the Vice President, this role supports all marketing initiatives. The Associate collects and analyzes data, documents marketing efforts, and monitors marketing trends.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Assists with developing marketing strategy and executing on marketing campaigns across all channels in order to meet organizational goals. Keeps staff informed of campaign status, scope, and timeline.
Creates marketing copy for emails, brochures, website and social media, and designs call to action email templates.
Maintains and manages website, regularly reviewing web content, links and design; and providing necessary updates and enhancements in a timely manner.
Assists with developing a website content strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals, enhances the member experience and increases traffic and conversions.
Gathers and analyzes web traffic, rankings, and marketing campaign performance, and prepares reports to assist in making informed decisions on future marketing strategy and campaigns. Keeps organized records of marketing metrics and results of past campaigns.
Gathers competitive intelligence and makes recommendations as appropriate.
Posts approved communications to organization’s social media accounts (LinkedIn and Twitter) and fields and triages user comments to appropriate leadership contacts.
Works with third party vendors for the CMS, email automation platform, and others as assigned.
Carries out administrative duties, as needed.
Contributes to the overall mission of the organization.
Assists the President & CEO, Vice President and other team members with special projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree preferred. Required fields of study and/or professional experience include Marketing, Web Development, Computer Science, or related field.
Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience working as a marketing associate or a related position.
Working knowledge of successful integration between content management systems (CMS), customer relationship management software (CRM), email automation programs and event registration platforms.
Maintains knowledge and has expertise in web design, development and optimization (SEO and SEM).
Fluency with markup and programming languages including HTML, XML, Java, and CSS.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, other related software, and marketing technology apps such as web analytics and Google AdWords.
Familiarity with topics such as benefits, well-being and health care is a strong plus.
