Boston University's External Affairs division is looking for an Administrative Coordinator to join our team and support the overall finance and administrative functions of External Affairs. This position assists with the day-to-day financial administration and operations of External Affairs. This includes, but is not limited to, financial transactions, data security management, expense account review and reconciliation, vendor contract management, financial process, and policy improvements. The Administrative Coordinator will be a member of the administrative team that supports the overall finance and administrative functions of External Affairs. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Finance & Administration and supports the Associate VP of Administration & Finance. The position also supports a broad range of projects and special assignments.

Associate's degree or equivalent with 3-5 years of experience.
Familiarity with, and experience managing SAP business systems and demonstrated experience managing complex University business systems to execute HR processes in BUWorks in an accurate and timely manner is highly desirable.
The position requires knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat
Candidate must have strong attention to detail and context, good interpersonal skills, willingness to learn, and a sense of humor to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to initiate, follow through, analyze, monitor, and evaluate a diverse set of activities on the HR and finance/operations front.
Willingness to work in a challenging environment and meet short deadlines and shifting priorities.
Ability to maintain confidential information and always use sound judgment and discretion.
Self-starter with the ability to be proactive and follow through on projects independently.
