Senior Director, Marketing & Communications - Audience Development

We're excited to recruit for a new role in MSK's Marketing and Communications department that will be responsible for growing new audiences as well as driving engagement and loyalty from existing audiences through various digital channels.
As Senior Director of Audience Developmen t, you will report to the VP, Digital Content Strategy and partner with leaders across the org to define audiences and build best-in-class digital experiences that further our acquisition and retention goals. This role directly oversees CRM strategy and journey mapping but also influences every other digital output. This role is extremely collaborative, working closely with direct reports as well as other teams.
Develop MSKs audience strategy by working with cross-functional teams to develop tools, content, newsletter series, journeys, and digital experiences that drive new patient leads, engage existing audiences, and widen our marketing funnel.
Own our target audience groups, partnering with channel leads to prioritize by channel and platform and develop bespoke acquisition and retention plans for each laddering up to our goals.
Manage CRM strategy and site journey teams
Be a key thought leader and driver in the upcoming revision of our digital products
Develop team and site goals that drive audience
Proactively ensure that creative, messaging, language and voice are consistent across all external platforms and associated marketing channels
Be an analytics influencer, understanding the most important business KPIs for each team in each moment -- partnering with our measurement team for reporting and testing
Develop and support strategies to cultivate diverse audiences
Be comfortable working across teams, and exerting influence without authority to drive audience acquisition and retention
Be a builder, comfortable in ambiguity and ready to lead and mentor an organization without prior audience dev infrastructure
Identify and pursue off platform distribution opportunities and partners in the service of our goals
Successful track record of growing and cultivating digital audiences and achieving measurable audience goals
Email marketing experience, including list building, message testing, and open/CTR optimization
Experience with testing and experimentation and deep proficiency in digesting and synthesizing data to turn it into actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization
Proven ability to communicate clearly and transparently across teams and job functions, with an eye toward solutions and building consensus
Excellent judgment - in content, brand creative, partnerships, and messaging
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Outstanding written communication and storytelling skills; translating complex concepts into intuitive and friendly communications.
